Grab Company Limited has agreed to share its traffic data with the HCM City Department of Transport in an effort to help the city reduce traffic congestion.
The chairman of HCM City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong instructed the municipal Department of Transport and relevant authorities to conduct studies on banning all light trucks during the day time in an effort to ease traffic congestion.
The capacity of Tan Son Nhat International Airport will double as many projects to expand it and ease traffic congestion have been announced, a high ranking official said.

significant investments to expand the roads, causing problems for both
drivers and traffic management officials.
The rate of urbanisation in Viet Nam has increased
from 16 per cent annually in the 1990s to 35.5 per cent now, and is
projected to rise to 45 per cent in 2020.
